My husband went into the hospital for the final time (liver cancer) during the lockdown. I, as his wife, and with the doctors and staff knowing he didn’t have long to live, i.e., days - was denied visitation. IMO, this was criminal. My husband was alone, scared and miserable that he couldn’t be with his family at the end of his life.

He finally managed to get himself discharged home and died two days later at home.

No good reason that Elizabeth Reiter and others had to die alone, scared and miserable in a hospital surrounded by strangers who hated her..

Good that your husband managed to get himself discharged home to be with family and friends.
