Iowa just jumped up on my list of possible retirement locations.
Iowa just cut income taxes by quite a lot. I think their end game is to have zero incomes taxes like some other states. At least if conservatives remain governing.
I wouldn’t retire in Iowa, but it one of the best places in the world to raise a family.
