Joe Biden's biggest problem is that his presidency is an utter failure
New York Post ^ | 05 May 2024 | Rich Lowry

President Biden has suffered a collapse in his standing generally, but, fundamentally, it’s because so few people think he’s doing a good job that he’s in such a perilous state

Other than that, it’s going great.

It’s hard to exaggerate how abysmal Biden’s polling has been lately.

No incumbent president should ever want to be near 43% in a head-to-head ballot test.

Yet here is Joe Biden at 43% in the latest CNN poll, 43% in the latest Morning Consult poll, 43% in the latest Economist/YouGov poll and 43% in the latest Harvard/Harris poll.

(NB: Biden ticked up to 48 when Harvard/Harris pushed respondents to choose between Trump and Biden, and the Economist/YouGov poll had RFK Jr. in the mix.)

Detect a trend? (There are other polls that have Biden a little higher.)

It’s no mystery why Biden’s polling is at crisis levels

An incumbent president’s level of support in a re-election bid is typically tethered closely to his job approval.

It’s hard to get much more than a couple of points above it.

Biden’s job approval is at 40% in the RealClearPolitics polling average and at 39.3% in the 538 polling average.

The CNN poll has Biden’s job approval right there at 40%, where it’s held steady for about a year, with 60% disapproving.

Joe's coalition is holding do far.

Most of them are dependent on the government due to entitlements (except for Asians and Jews).

Which he probably thinks of as a minor detail. That’s what lies are for!

Well yeah, but other than his disastrous presidency, he’s really a swell guy. Well, maybe not. This hair sniffing little girls is a bit much. Showering with daughter(s) too old is a bit much. His constant lying is a bit much. Now that you add it all up, he’s really pretty terrible.

Obozo and Biden’s presidency is a failure but look at the damage they has done; war, famine, inflation, destruction of our culture of hope in our democracy, just to name a few disappointments. Yet the bastards retire with millions.....

The polls are irrelevant.

Still lots of people who will vote for him just because they hate Trump. The Democrats may be stuck with him because it would be hard to replace him (without putting Kamala in the #1 spot) without offending blacks. But at this point they may still feel confident that voter fraud and lawfare will enable them to win.

The disappointing thing is that Trump is not well above 50% now, when people can compare the conditions when he was President to the current conditions. Too many people won't vote for him because of his personality or because they believe the mainstream media version of him.

Surprised that it’s 43% though I suspect there was a misprint and it’s really -43%.

Which is why we should have gone with DeSantis. You'll have some voters who's not a fan of Joe Biden but they'll vote for him just because they hate Donald Trump's personality.

For certain we know that it isn’t the worthless GOPe and the fake impeachment hearings that is bringing Xiden’s poll numbers down.

The little girl stuff, showers with daddy, uncle being eaten by cannibals, billions of dollars blown on wars, an overflowing border doesn’t have any effect on over 40% of the population.

Sure a chunk of them are just plain stupid for sure.

But that doesn’t account for 40%+.

There are a certain number who are voting with their genitalia yes, so that may take Joe’s numbers to 35%.

Who are the rest?

They don’t have to vote for Trump, they just have to not vote for Biden. Generally speaking people will just stay home instead of voting AGAINST a candidate.
