It is absolutely necessary that all Hamas leaders, at a minimum, are killed. If they are imprisoned, they will be hostage bait, if they are free they will plot to kill more Israelis and have some success. Their deaths is a practical necessity for Israel. IMHO, the bare minimum for Israel to accept surrender is the Gazans give up the northern half or 2/3rds of Gaza. Then Israel should tell every Mussleman that future attacks will result in Muslims losing even more land. Just like in 1967.
