D.C. police took down a pro-Palestinian encampment at The George Washington University early Wednesday morning and arrested 33 protesters, D.C. police Chief Pamela Smith announced during a news conference Wednesday. … The police chief said there were many indicators that the protests were becoming more volatile, outlining intelligence that officers had been collecting over the past few days.

“This started last Thursday, when a GW campus police officer was pushed by protesters and an item was grabbed out of the police officers hand during the performance of her duties,” Smith said.

Officers reported that members of the pro-Palestinian protests assaulted counterprotesters, Smith said, adding that some counterprotesters were also “covertly in the encampment,” pretending to be part of the pro-Palestinian protest.

Smith said people that were not part of the GWU community were found inside a secure campus building and protesters from other schools were traveling to the university to join the encampment. Weapons were also being gathered by protesters, according to the police chief. … Overall, 33 protesters were arrested at the encampment and at the intersection of 20th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, where Smith said police were met with additional demonstrators that refused to disperse.

Jeffery Carroll, Executive Assistant Chief of Police, said that officers pepper-sprayed protesters three times in response to the assault of police officers, but that no one was seriously injured.

Why does the article NOT spell out..

“33 Arrested.X were students.” ?

Seems like that would be a pretty important number to have written here.

All the protests are meaningless.
None of them have the support of the American people.
Bought and paid for by the usual suspects.
If the politicians were really trying to stop the protests, then go after the rich Anti American elites funding them.

Freeze their bank accounts.
Apply tremendous political pressure on governments shielding them.
Open serious and aggressive investigations into their supporters here in the US.
File lawsuits to recover costs of damage, police time wasted on this nonsense, lost education time for actual students.
Arrest non citizen activists and make their release very expensive.
Hold congressional hearings to find out who is behind the protests.

Until the government gets serious about stopping this nonsense, there’s no point in watching any of this in the news.
Like everything else, it’s just make-believe.

Reminds me of the old Li’l Abner comic strip from 1968 in which the Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything (S.W.I.N.E.) take over the campus.
The terrified University Regents decide to sell the University! The only buyers were the Mafia who brings in the mob enforcers.
Here come the SWINE protesting!
I still get a thrill remembering how the leader of the S.W.I.N.E. used his front teeth to assault the brass knuckles of the mob enforcers. Who says brass won’t make a spark! These did. Big ones at that!
Anyone else remember that old comic strip? Could easily be reprinted today with no changes.

It’s okay, none of them will be charged with anything, this was done purely for optics.
