The incoming president of Panama has vowed to make big changes to help alleviate the U.S. border crisis. President-elect Jose Raul Mulino vowed to shut down a crucial migration gap through Panama that has been used by more than 500,000 migrants over the last year, signaling a shift in the country's policy as the U.S. continues to battle a crisis at its southern border, according to a report from Voice of America.

Even as China finances “improving” the gap.

Worse thing Jimmy Carter did was give up the Canal Zone. As a bumper sticker in 1979 said..

“JIMMY CARTER! BEST PRESIDENT PANAMA EVER HAD!”

Does the incoming President of Panama know who it is that will, shall we say, “oppose” his efforts to re-close the Darien Gap?

I remember reading in ‘My Weekly Reader’ in the 50s about how the Pan American Highway would connect North and South America from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. That pesky Darien Gap has kept it from happening.

I wish this success and a long life.

But achieving success will probably bring him an early death,

Don’t hold your breath. The Governments of the USA AND China BOTH have major semi-permanent to permanent large facilities in the Darien Gap to help the illegal alien invaders continue their journey north. I could see Mulino defying one or other of The USA or China, but not both

And someone is building a large bridge over one of the worst rivers near the US and China facilities, and a paved highway is being built to make the journey quicker and easier.

Deep state here will have him taken care of if he is even mildly successful at this.

The incoming president of Panama has vowed to make big changes to help alleviate the U.S. border crisis.

But there is no analysis as to why?

We aren't "battling" a crisis. We gave up. Thanks FJB.

Biden will try to reverse that order. He needs the migrants to “fundamentally transform America.”

In 1990, on Amidor, by the sea before the start of the causeway, there was a fountain to friendship the US and Panama that was dry, over grown with weeds and abandoned by both. It was fitting symbol for the time of the relationship between the too countries.
It still seems strained today, but the new leadership may change that. The parliament is likely still full of folks enamored with China and socialism or at least china’s money. Other than the skyscrapers and new buildings I wonder if thier is any change for the people.
I still don’t think the poor and middle class folks there live any better than they did 30 years ago.

Good news.

But I wonder how long it will be before Biden announces the Darian Gap Humanitarian Crisis and starts flying all those stranded south of the Gap directly into the U.S.

They need to load down that “pathway to thievery” with American sniper. Shoot any maggot that tries to use it.
