Defiant Columbia University graduates wore zip-tie handcuffs, brandished pro-Palestinian signs and even went as far as tearing up a diploma on stage during the Ivy League’s first commencement ceremonies last week.
The protesting students were caught on camera storming across the platform on Friday to accept their degrees during ceremonies that were significantly pared after weeks of violent anti-Israel demonstrations on campus.
In one of the most belligerent displays, Tarsis Salome, a Columbia social work graduate, charged forward with her zip-tied hands above her head as those in the audience cheered her on.

Wonder how their parents felt, seeing their child ripping that diploma up, this after the family has spend ‘Tons’ of money on tuition. They should have bought a second house instead, or maybe that hot rod Dad really wanted for himself.
This is a great example of why voting before age 21 should only be for those serving in the military.
They can just ask for another copy
Put someone in charge who will erase their records of earning a diploma.

Graduate: I seen the ripping up stuff on TV when Nancy Pelosi did it. The Bill of Rights or whatever it was. She really stole the show that time.

An actual diploma is not given out at commencement. But I do really hope they ripped up their actual diplomas.
I’m so glad I have nothing to do with academia.
It will be you paying the tuition. Very many of these parents can’t afford the 80K tuition so they depend on student loans which will now be excused with taxpayers paying it off. Also TAP Grants and work study programs, paid by taxpayers. If the parents don’t want them back home they’ll find some job but more importantly they’ll find a commune type loft in Bushwick B’kln .

Or they can accede to her wishes and rescind her degree. Which of course does nothing for any outstanding student debts, which she will still owe. And if her parents paid her tab, they will notify them that her tuition is non-refundable.
They have to step up their game. They need to start raping and beheading people on stage in tribute to hamas. Ripping up your diploma is a joke.
That’s where Columbia says: “Sorry, that’s the only copy and without it, you can’t access your transcripts.”

They will probably demand that the school replace the diploma for nothing. That is the way these idiot people think.
I’m sure this brat will in the future also be one of these “I deserve a higher salary, I have a degree!” people. Also, glad she was named early in the article. Just about every prospective employer still does searches on applicants. I’m sure they’ll “love” seeing this behavior come up.
