Florida sheriffs have been making news of late for doing their jobs. I say that not as a commentary on said sheriffs, but as a sad observation that in parts of this country, violent repeat criminals rule the streets.
One such Florida sheriff is Lee County's Carmine Marceno, whose hard line on criminals who think they can "play" in his county is crystal clear:
My message … is clear. If you think you can deal poison and commit crime, stay clear of Lee County and all the great state of Florida. We're ready, and we will absolutely find you, hunt you down, and charge you to force the extent of the law.
Raise your hand if you don't think Sheriff Marceno meant every word he said.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Marceno also talked about people "fleeing" to Florida from New York and California for safety reasons but then voting the same way they did in their previous respective states.
They want to leave California. They want to leave New York. Okay. And then they come down to a state like Florida, where we are law and order, and they don't change their views.
You left a place where there's havoc, where people can rob, steal, loot, do drugs in safe havens. And then you're upset that it's so bad there, and you come here and still do the same thing. Same action, same result.

We NEED far more like him.
Lee County has many nice areas, but also a ghetto in Ft. Myers with a substantial crime problem.
We need more Sheriffs like this.

GOOD. Works for me.
We have the best sheriffs in Florida... they protect us and we trust and respect them.
For example: last week a group of ‘protesters’ decided to close down one of our roads leading to Disney. It took our law enforcement people 11 minutes to get to the ‘protest’ and arrest the idiots.
That’s how closing roads is treated in Florida.
You CAN protest, but you can’t do it in the middle of our streets, roads or interstates.
National policy should be to execute all drug dealers, from street hustler to kingpin. No plea bargains, no exceptions. Trial, conviction, appeal, sentencing and execution all to be carried out within 18 months.
