Joe Biden's debate challenge to Trump was a joke. Despite his projected confidence in his video statement directed at Trump, the terms proposed by the Biden campaign are extremely telling, as they indicate Joe Biden is pushing for debates that are incredibly controlled.
For starters, the Biden campaign is demanding no live audience, which strikes me as odd. Generally speaking, candidates prefer having an audience they can feel like they're addressing directly. Another demand is that microphones be off when it's not a candidate's turn to speak and that they be cut when they go over their time limit.
Oh yeah, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. can't participate.
The letter by the Biden campaign lays out for the first time the president’s terms for giving Mr. Trump what he has openly clamored for: a televised confrontation with a successor Mr. Trump has portrayed, and hopes to reveal, as too feeble to hold the job. In a Truth Social post on Wednesday morning, Mr. Trump quickly agreed to the two dates proposed by the Biden campaign, although it was unclear whether he would agree to Mr. Biden’s other terms.
Mr. Biden and his top aides want the debates to start much sooner than the dates proposed by the Commission on Presidential Debates, so voters can see the two candidates side by side well before early voting begins in September. They want the debate to occur inside a TV studio, with microphones that automatically cut off when a speaker’s time limit elapses. And they want it to be just the two candidates and the moderator — without the raucous in-person audiences that Mr. Trump feeds on and without the participation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or other independent or third-party candidates.

It should only be hosted, Ms. O’Malley Dillon writes, by broadcast organizations that hosted both a Republican primary debate in 2016 in which Mr. Trump participated and a Democratic primary debate in 2020 in which Mr. Biden participated — “so neither campaign can assert that the sponsoring organization is obviously unacceptable.”
Networks that meet that mark include CBS News, ABC News, CNN and Telemundo.
And the debate moderators “should be selected by the broadcast host from among their regular personnel, so as to avoid a ‘ringer’ or partisan,” Ms. O’Malley Dillon adds.

I am OK with that as long as it is applied equally.
Biden the trained puppet wasn’t to have mics turned off so he can read rehearsed material without any challenge or interactivvvity, and so he can have enough time to listen to his cues and prompts from his earpiece for rebuttal hints.
There are plenty of conditions here for Trump to refuse and thus refuse all the debates. Loudly declare what his conditions are.
He can demand that media coverage will be non traditional. Fake news organizations will be excluded. That means all TV networks are cut out. Hold it online, and the media doesn’t choose any questions. Nor do they have any followup opportunity.
The media is the enemy. Give them nothing.
The issue of no crowd that Trump can feed on is not the problem for Biden. The problem is ——
IT IS ALL ABOUT MICHIGAN and the Muslims there are enraged at his abandoning the Palestinians. IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT THEY WON’T VOTE FOR TRUMP. They need only stay home. Their numbers are enormous. They will decide Michigan if they stay home, and they will decide it for Trump.
It is absurd for Trump to do ANYTHING OTHER THAN POINT AT VICTORY. If that means refuse to debate, then refuse.

No earpieces, and either 1 or 2 questioners picked by each candidate, NOT the network. The moderator chosen by the network shall not be one of the questioners, unless one of the candidates names that person to also be a questioner.
Don’t think that Biden won’t be ready. He will also have a low threshold.
2. The Biden team doesn’t want a debate. They want a staged TV production. That’s why none of these media outlets who are owned and managed by Biden’s corporate handlers have any business hosting any debates.
Advice to Trump — battle over the debate terms, and then pass, saying the organizers are “not serious.” Presidential debates are seen as largely a partisan waste of time, and you’ll gain more votes affirming this.
CNN cuts away when Trump makes ad-hoc comments about one thing or another. They don’t cover his rallies. Their reasoning is they won’t amplify his lies. So, they obviously have a prejudicial bias against him. Would they do that at a debate by not giving his responses to questions any audio? I wouldn’t put it past them. Team Trump should bring up their bias and insist on having input on the moderator(s) and go for the most even handed one, if that person actually exists at CNN.
Trump should only agree if he can either pick the moderator or has the right to refuse a moderator Biden wants.
I’m surprised Biden hasn’t asked for Trump to be fact-checked after each time he speaks.
A hacker should find the frequency of the ear piece and either feed him gibberish or a very loud high pitched screech.

It’s a fixed fight. Trump gets muted and Biden gets to do and say what he wants with help all the way. Same BS over and over again. Dems cant win in a fair fight.
I think the plan is to put Trump in jail at the end of this month and pray that they can cancel because “he’s a criminal.”
