My wife is a wonderful woman, but she has horrible taste in television. She, at times, will acknowledge this shortcoming as “guilty pleasures.”
One of her favorite streaming “programs” is the hospital drama “New Amsterdam.” It’s god-awful. More unreal than reality TV. This woke piece of soap opera pabulum is utterly unwatchable. Every once in a while, perhaps to punish me for crimes I am not aware I have committed, she will turn “New Amsterdam” on the bedroom TV before we go to sleep. When the latest overwrought episode mercifully comes to an end, I ask the love of my life the same two questions: Why do you hate me, and where do I go to get the last hour of my life back?
At least it’s just an hour.
In the Covid soap opera, the lockdowners, the “follow the science” preachers, took years from our lives on a foundation of bad science. Some of us knew that while we were in the throes of the endless Covid Red Alert; the rest are learning it these days from the same charlatans who ran the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Testifying earlier this year in a closed-door interview before the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, a transcript of which was released this week, former NIH Director Francis Collins confessed that the government’s sweeping social-distancing guidance wasn’t backed by the science we were all supposed to be following.

This was actually one of the first CoVid swindles debunked soundly on the basis of existing scientific studies. I recall being accused of Science Denial for sharing my skepticism (by an Art History major, no less).
For a bunch of doctors they didn't provide any advice based on data or medicine. I'm not a doctor, but we'd be better off if they just said: 1) Stay home for 3-5 days if you are sick. 2) Avoid long periods of close indoor confinement with others.
TRUST THE SCIENCE!
Episode Intro showed breaking news on TV but didn’t reveal content. Multiple future scenes showed various characters walking down street, others at work, people going about business but everyone was in shock - you could tell people were greatly disturbed by the breaking news .
Next scene was the big reveal — Roe v Wade overturned

The problem with people pushed beyond their level of competence into leadership roles is, they feel they must be seen to lead. While this is true because of the leadership role they’re in, incompetent people choose to do whatever sounds good, whether it’s effective or not. Remember, for people like this, it’s the appearance. And they may be stupid enough that they don’t know the difference between the “leadership” they’re providing and effective policy. Sometimes, as with Covid, there isn’t any proactive thing to do other than for everyone to hunker down and survive by washing their hands after they go out. Telling people to do what their mothers insisted on is not in their eye’s effective leadership. They make up things that are essentially superstition. Having bad leaders is much worse than having no leaders.
I still have a shirt that says, ‘STAY SIX FEET AWAY!’ I like it. Use it as much as possible.
How were there existing scientific studies in a virus that hadn’t existed before 2019? Do people here not understand how science works?
We should never trust our government and the medical establishment ever again.
And let’s not forget the retail and grocery stores trying to force people to only walk in one direction in the isles.......and people were doing it!
The studies were on mask efficacy with regards to various cold viruses, of which CoVid is one. And yes, I do know how science works.
1. You must wear a mask
2. You must wear gloves
3. If anyone gets within six feet of you then you can stab him

Someone on this forum said they got yelled at for going the wrong way and said “arrows? I didn’t even see the Indians!” I tried to get someone to say that to me but never managed to. There is now a void in my life.
My favorite was being out on our great running/walking trails and seeing people wearing masks in the sunshine.
Anyone with an ounce of sense even back then, knew that sunshine kills viruses.
And the people wearing masks in their cars !

What else have they lied about, while they inflicted physical, mental, and finacial, pain on every man woman and child in this country?
...but...we know north koreans are undercover IT workers, not lying this time too.....
