Many years ago a friend of my young daughter had stopped to visit her. When l came home she was sitting on the sofa and was very upset. I asked my daughters friend what the problem was and she related the following.
At 17 she was pregnant and her parents were forcing her to get an abortion. She kept referring to the baby as “it”. I said to her well thing we need to name what it is. She looked at me kinda funny and struggled several times repeating they wanted her to abort it. I kept asking her to name what it was. Still struggling she blurted out they want me to kill my baby. Tears started flowing as she repeated “They want me to kill my baby”.
Well she her baby but wasn’t allowed over any more.
Twenty years passed and my granddaughter was in Miami attending school and I was elected to fly down and drive her home to Md. On the way I was to pick up her 20 year old friend in Jacksonville. After picking her friend up in Jacksonville I realized that the is the little baby now grown up whose mom sat crying in my living room 20 years ago.
Icried the next 20-30 miles and thanked the Lord for sharing this moment with me
