So are Chinese Jews? They use a lunar calendar.
And the Talmud is not scripture.
Not that America doesn't deserve judgment, because it does, however, in my many years I've seen too emphasis put on "signs." In other words, I've seen too many believers "seek the gift rather than the Giver." I'm of the opinion that Christian put too much emphasis on signs and miracles, but they aren't truly seeking the Giver of signs and miracles, Jesus.
It doesn't hurt to be prepared for His coming, and if these natural happenings poke and prod people into getting ready than that's great, but all we/they gotta do is read the scriptures and heed the warnings God laid out. It's that simple.
Thanks for the article Roman. God bless you brother.

GIGO. Extrapolations based on flimsy suppositions lead straight into the darkness. This is exactly the type of stuff that uses, abuses and then casts an evil reputation onto plain numerical *fact*. That way those who are unwilling or unable to distinguish between true and false can then point and mock at simple, verifiable data and screech, "Numerology!"
Examples of facts:
Every letter and word in Hebrew (or Aramaic or Greek or Yiddish for that matter) has a numeric value. It's an intrinsic property. Thus words and phrases numerically will equal other words and phrases. It's a conclusion-jumper's paradise for a reason altogether different from those who operate with extreme scrutiny by way of the scientific method.
There are also Biblically-documented dates for lifespans of many individuals and events. Same for the world in general. All kinds of numbers for calendar and celestial cycles...
There are also *facts* of traditional dates, meaning regardless of a literal/unknown date for an event, the existence of traditions themselves are not in dispute.
Take Christmas Day, the day *celebrated* for the birth of Christ. That's a fact. It may still be printed right on the calendars.
Now on that *fact* one could note another fact, that the 25th word of the Torah is "ohr", light. Or that Chanukah is begins on the 25th day of a Jewish month.
At least if people want to play around jumping to conclusions, they could start with facts, not a pile of speculation. But by the very nature of sketchy doctrinal conjecture, that's not how it goes.
Truth is stranger and way more exciting and satisfying than fiction.
To built on solid fact is to realize that the more you know the more you don't know. One door opens ten more opens ten more kind of thing. The learning never ends. It teaches impulse control if nothing else, on account of the solid evidence of things not seen.
To "switch" from learning to teaching is to teach just that.
Frauds will have their reward for all that they know and teach, and for the well-practiced "just my opinion" plausible deniability ruse.
I think the Rapture will be the biggest “sign” of all.
Right up there with "Made in China".
I have much to say on this, but as of now am unable to respond,
I will say one thing, this work has a lot of, “I believes,” in it.
When it comes to figuring out the past, we must first eliminate what we believe if our beliefs are not backed up by concrete facts.
I’ll leave a tease with this,
As to Jewish writings of the time, whenever Rome called for a census, the Jews always fought tooth an nail not to allow it. It was no difference with the Cenus you mention that forced Mary and Joseph to go to Bethlehem while she was pregnant.
Herod, knew they would fail, but he gave his approval to petition the Roman Senate about the census. We know they failed, because the census did happen. However, there was a time delay, which means the census did not take place at the time this commentary states it did.
There are many commentaries that attempt to nail a date for Jesus birth. As for this commentaries attempt, it is off.
As I stated, I will come back and shed some light on what my own investigations show, which I too can match to history Josephus wrote. That being said, there are other problems with this writers theory.
Yet as I sated I am rushed for time, so I will get back, and anyone interested can come back and read what I offer later. I have already written more than I have time for and must get out the door.
By the way, even my understanding is still but a theory, I will not be using, “I believe.” Instead my theory will include a phrase, “My findings point to…..”
Later alligator, my wife is loudly beckoning me.
Why do so many Christians doubt Jesus? Why do they think that they can figure out and know the time of His return?
The Talmud is a demonic book.

Quote
I believe the birth of Jesus occurred on the same date (September 16, 5 BC) and the same lunar eclipse that Josephus wrote about (regarding Herod). Herod was doing his evil act in Jerusalem while Mary was giving birth to Jesus in Bethlehem, all under a blood-red full moon.
....
The Revelation 12 sign of the sun clothing the woman and the moon under her feet ,at the birth of the manchild, cannot be a full moon.
The moon’s phase at that time would be closer to a sliver crescent in the sky with that sign..
A birth not at the full moon, but at the sighting of the new moon. Still a summer birth, though. Late summer. And Babylonian September qualifies as late summer/early fall..
40 days from Day of Atonement when He was presented in the temple where Simeon looked for the redemption of Israel and Anna was fasting and praying night and day..
That’s what people in Jerusalem would have been doing when a 40 day babe was presented in the temple on that holy day.
It’s interesting in their calculations, they mention that Nisan 14, or Passover, wasn’t on a Friday.
There’s 7 days of the Pope’s week that Passover, the 14th, can be. Even though the Talmud followers have postponement rules for if the 14th conflicts with the Pope’s Saturday..
The only postponement in Torah for missing Passover one month,is to observe it on the same day,the 14th, in the second month.
The 14th day is the same day of the week in God’s calendar.
Each 14th day changes not no matter what lunar month people would observe.
Always His 6th work day. Always the preparation day for the Sabbath.
Even if that weekly Sabbath is a high annual Sabbath too.
The same can’t be said for the Talmuds calendar or the Pope’s calendar.
The Talmud followers may find themselves more in line with the Pope at the end of the day..
