A “slick” did not have external guns or rocket pods...That’s why it was called a “slick”...No wind drag from external weapons...
Those waap waap sounds never leave... I wasn’t in nam. I was just one of the last huey crewchiefs in the NG. Got out in 2004 with the hueys. Best aircraft ever.
