In IA DRANG's real Landing Zone X-Ray the soldier picking up the NVA's French Bugle was a young Lt. RICK RESCORLA after he had saved 100's of his men's lives there.

RICK RESCORLA later went on to save many more lives during the 1993 Terrorist Bombing of the World Trade Center and the Terrorist Airstrikes of September 11, 2001 on New York's Twin Towers.

In the end RICK RESCORLA ended up giving up his own life that Day of Infamy so that 1,000's of others might live past him:
