"I'm not going with slash/burn/poison....."

While that's certainly your decision, I've had 3 family members go through the treatments offered by medical science for various cancers (skin and breast cancer) and not a one of them has died from cancer. It's not easy, but it's largely effective. I'll go with the homecare option for a flu, but not with cancer. Good luck to you, whatever you decide.

No experience, but I will offer prayers and encouragement.

Have had cancer twice, thyroid and then kidney.

Do not fool around with it. I study native, indigenous plants and their uses. Lots have been used for folk and prior to that Indian remedies. Some have been developed by the pharmaceutical companies for cancer treatment. But, not over the counter or herbally.

Getting a cancer diagnosis is like having this black oblivion open in front of your feet, mentally. Call the cancer support groups in your area and talk to them.

Do not waste time with alternative treatments. Cancer can spread very fast while you investigate things that won't work.

What will work is working with a nutritionist, working on your mental and spiritual health, getting a support network going.

Prayers for you...if that is ok with you.

You have freepmail. You might consider complimentary medicine (note: "medicine" in this phrase doesn't mean pills or even herbs, just techniques). There are things you can do for yourself to help your body cope with the treatments, and that won't interfere with any meds you're being prescribed.

"The Maker's Diet" by Dr. Jordan Rubin would be a great start. Garden of Life has a mushroom blend that is suppose to be the best on the market.
