Work for Gingrich!

He needs to withstand the news of Santorum winning in Kansas, Saturday.

One candidate wants to solve our problems and rescue American Sovereignty.

Another candidate seems entitled.

A third seems to want to enact Vatican dicta in America.

You know, I thought Conservatives had a high opinion of Christian values.

Then one stands up and runs for the presidency, and folks all of a sudden take offense because he espouses their beliefs in public.

What’s wrong with espousing the belief that abortion is wrong, and that less promiscuity before marriage is a good thing?

This post in objection to Santorum’s values, is that what you wish to rest your hat on.

Is this an admission that Balut doesn’t back these values? What the heck?

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I sincerely believe Newt Gingrich agreed with what you wrote here, and not with what too many of his supporters are saying.

Thank you, Doughty One.

This stuff by unspun does not represent Newt Gingrich's views, as have been repeatedly stated, about the Judeo-Christian moral basis of society.

Gingrich is not being helped by the actions of a fair number of his supporters here on Free Republic.

This is wild-eyed stuff from the 1960 anti-Catholic campaign against John F. Kennedy.

If we've learned anything in fifty years, we've learned that the Roman Catholic Church is having enough problems getting their own members to obey the Pope. He has enough problems trying to get Catholics to “obey dictates of a city-state” without trying to get the civil government of a predominantly Protestant country to do so.

Please cite an example.

I don't see Rick Santorum trying to “enact Vactican dicta” on anything other than abortion. On that issue, I trust you agree with Santorum. Gingrich agrees with “Vatican dicta” on being pro-life, so does Ron Paul, and even Mitt Romney claims to agree (though I don't trust him).

Perhaps you mean contraception? Santorum doesn't want to make contraception illegal; at most, he wants to persuade other people it's a bad idea. What he does with his wife in his own bedroom is his own business and if he wants a large family, it's not my business to tell him otherwise.

As an evangelical Protestant, if I thought Rick Santorum was trying to “enact Vatican dicta” on things other than issues on which most conservative Christians agree, I would have a huge problem with Santorum.

What Santorum does in his own personal life with “Vatican dicta” is his own business and I have no problem with him being faithful to the dictates of his church so long as he doesn't try to legally enact them on everyone else.

Really? Does it seem that way to you?

Is that you, Behar? Whoopi? Or, are you some other shrieking, Marxist b*tch?

Actually that would not be a bad thing. Hear me out.....lol. The Vatican is NOT having an economic problem. They balance the budget every year AND in fact, the Italian government is trying to get the Vatican to help them out financially. Now you are changing your tune, huh?

The timing for Santorum could not be better. Sunday morning talk shows will all be talking about the win in Kansas the day before. Santorum is pretty brilliant to campaign in the state. Newt and Romney are frightened of losing so they are bowing out. Go Santorum!!!!

Good for Newt but come on. Vatican dicta? Isn’t Ginrich a Catholic too?
