The Wall Street Journal has reported that President Trump is considering former D.C. circuit judge and former California Supreme Court justice Janice Rogers Brown to succeed Jeff Sessions as attorney general. Assuming that becomes necessary at some point, it is important that the president pick someone who will continue the important work Sessions has already undertaken during his tenure at the Department of Justice in matters such as criminal justice reform and illegal immigration.

Janice Rogers Brown is a black woman who is one of the most accomplished and constitutional judges in the country. She would have likely been Trump’s first choice to nominate for the US Supreme Court if not for her more advanced age.

Some of you idiots should do a little research before being so critical. Shame on all of you who prejudged this awesome conservative judge.

Just checked. She apparently is a stone cold conservative. But who knows for sure.

Nope.

Not a kin to Moonbeam.

And she was a great Jurist.

You guys really should do some research before tapping your keys.

Here is one of her speeches.

Note please where it was published.

Speech of Janice Rogers Brown,- "A Whiter Shade of Pale"

Those of us that have followed her career and accomplishments for 20 years know how she is garlic to the leftist vampires.

Janice Rogers Brown would have made a great Supreme Court judge (she never got the chance she deserved because the Democrats would’ve stonewalled a conservative Black woman to the bitter end), but I don’t know if she is mean enough to be a slice and dice Attorney General.

For all you idiots making smart-ass comments about this now-retired judge from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

She’s 69, and she would be mean enough to prosecute the corruption.

Greg Jarrett said it should be John Ratcliffe (R-Texas).

I was thinking he might be saving her to replace RBG. In another report RBG is said to be resigning in January.

I have nothing but the highest respect for her character and ability - but I was hoping more for an Elliot Ness type to go after the criminals running loose in Washington DC. Maybe she can do this job - but I always had her pegged as a jurist, and not someone who'd toss Frank Nitti off of the top of the Building - if needed.
But I have no problem if President Trump chooses her.

She is 69 which is a bit old for SCOTUS but she is also old enough not to care what they call her and she has no desire to sit at the "cool kids" table.

She might be a good selection.

Not sure if she’s a good fit for AG but Bush nominated her to DC Appeals and Dems held up her confirmation for 2 years.

She was a finalist for Supreme Court under Bush but he went with Alito who has been a solid pick as well, but she has been a good conservative.

Heck, I kinda like the guy he just promoted to interim, Whitaker! Why muddy the waters with an academic or politician? I like JRB for a judge but Whitaker is young pitbull prosecutor, what we need now.

One of my favorite political speeches of all time.

I have it saved, and send it around to people who are interested.

How old is she now?
