Last night, the National Geographic channel (I believe) had former President Bush on there telling about his exact experiences of that day.

They showed the destroyed World Trade Center buildings but did not show the photos of the people jumping out of the buildings. Bush did mention that though.

I do not like him now that he is an anti-Trumper - but he was a calming influence back at that time, IMHO.

It is worth watching if there is a replay today.

Not a big Bush fan, but considering he found himself placed in a worst case scenario no President would want to find themselves in, with 20/20 hindsight, he did pretty well. 18 years later we can speculate what would have been better actions to take, but right then and there with fast moving parts, he did pretty well.

God forbid this had happened while Obama was in charge. He would have excused the incident as to not offend anyone in the middle east.

Watching “102 minutes that changed America” right now on the History channel. They show plenty of jumpers and even the radio dispatches to the cops and firefighters telling them of the jumpers.
