Technically speaking, the documentary is about the National September 11 Museum at the World Trade Center, but its real message is clear.
As we approach the twentieth anniversary of 9/11, the effort by much of our cultural elite to rewrite history, which started on September 12, continues ever on. The point is to distract from the attacks carried out by the non-western, non-Judeo-Christian, non-democratic terrorists, and impart the message that nothing has changed: America is still the bad guy, same as it ever was.
The latest effort concerns the Facebook documentary The Outsider, by filmmakers Steven Rosenbaum and Pamela Yoder, which manufactures a “controversy” about the creation of the National September 11 Museum at the World Trade Center. Its purpose is to give weight to the filmmakers’ opinion that the memorial should be less about the September 11 attacks and more about the political and moral rot of America.
“It’s nationalistic, belligerent, and grievance-based,” is how Rosenbaum describes the museum without a hint of irony. He means the museum recognizes the attacks happened and implies that America was wronged.
Imagine the cluelessness required to complain that the 9/11 museum at the WTC is “grievance-based.” Not to mention “belligerent.” Yet that pretty much encompasses a certain cultural and intellectual take on 9/11.
This view holds that America has no grievance, making any belligerence unjustified. The only questions are how were the attacks America’s fault? And what are the lasting lessons of 9/11 America’s misconduct?

Satan - The master of lies
These are the upside-down deities to the left.
>>If you went,” Rosenbaum continues, speaking of a visit to the museum, “you wind up feeling sad and angry, and is that what a museum is supposed to do?”<<
hey, I have left The Holocaust Museum, the Salem History Museum and Black History Museum with a lift in my step and a “hey nonny nonny” on my lift (note: thede are examples not necessarily real visits).
“they want to deny, diminish, and obfuscate—that is censor—the memory and history of 9/11 in order to impose their viewpoints. Their special targets are the coming generations who have no memory of the attacks.”
Exactly
I have been to that museum. It is about sorrow and loss and courage and duty. It might be selective memory but I have no memory of grievance.
Remember Rick Rescorla. A hero who gave his life helping people escape, but more importantly, a hero who saved thousands because he planned and prepared and did not hesitate.

Rewriting history. I remember something in 1984, the book, along those lines.
They have already changed the narrative. It’s something like this: Innocent, clean-shaven young men were out for a pleasant airplane ride one Tuesday morning in Manhattan, when suddenly up popped two towers out of nowhere, and crashed into those planes. Those innocent men didn’t do anything wrong. Many people died, but deserved it because they were working in the heart of capitalism, New York.
I traveled three country this week, stayed at a hotel, had my brain raped by a television.
I tuned in to the “news” specials about that fateful day. I also toured the flight 93 crash site and memorial.
The media have all painted this event to be our fault and continue on saying that we’re are more racist as a result.
There are about 8 companies who control what you see and hear. All of these companies are our enemy.
My best girl and I watched a Newsmax tribute last night. A lot of the theme was about how unified Americans became. Then it dawned on me that that unity fell apart when the story portrayed GWB in a better light as leader. The press and Dems couldn’t have that. They also couldn’t have a true AAR of the events that led up to the attacks and turned on Bush in a big way. Almost nothing is said about Jamie Gorelick’s wall that prohibited various intelligence agencies from sharing intel. Not the tack that Clinton passed up an opportunity to take out Ben Laden. Nothing like that. Twenty years later, what has really changed???
distortion of reality + deletion of facts of reality + false generalizations = rewriting history
I heard an interview this morning with two who had been there, and how it unified the country. Then one mentioned how quickly that changed. The other said, yes, it didn’t take long for the right wing to demonize Muslims and begin tearing us apart again. That was her analysis of then and now. SMH.
All I ever heard or read was liberal mediots accusing the “far-right wing” of demonizing Muslims, not any actual demonizing. Oh, and their horrified “reactions” to all of this nonexistant demonizing.
