I don't understand the obsession of identifying the man in the picture. What purpose does it serve? Some things just can freeze your heart or etch your soul forever... Many of the images of 9/11 are like that. I think in this case, the photographer wants and answer because not knowing is a true burden.

What purpose does it serve?It would show that not a nameless, faceless, nobody was photographed falling 1,000 feet to his death. A death made possible by fanatical and brutal murderous cowards. A name, with a face and a likeness, makes it more personal. More real. More concrete. He becomes the embodiment of the reason radical Islam and all who support, protect, nurture, tolerate and practice it must be eradicated.
