In an article published on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks, The New York Times decided to blame airplanes for taking down the World Trade Center, completely ignoring that it was terrorists who hijacked those planes.
“Eighteen years have passed since airplanes took aim at the World Trade Center and brought them down,” reads the second paragraph in the piece titled “Remembering Those Lost 18 Years Ago on 9/11.” In fact, terrorism isn’t even mentioned in the article, except for in the subheading.
To make matters worse, this is the section the NYT tweeted to promote the article, prompting widespread backlash. The death count was also wildly off. They have since deleted the tweet, but not before Twitchy captured it.

Why not ban airplanes?

NPR likewise. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center. A plane crashed in Pennsylvania.
NYT, as typical, pulling an Omar “some people did something”.....in this case, ‘some planes’......
Yep, same mentality. Airplanes spontaneously crashed into buildings. Guns, especially “military assault weapons,” just jump up on their own and commit atrocities.
We need to curb “airplane violence.” Oh, and Islam is “the religion of peace.”
I guess we need to get rid of those darn airplanes as they cause both Terrorism and Global Warming.
Yep just like firearms....the inaminate objects have a mind of their own....the criminals operating them are not at fault...
