Actually, I believe that Al-Qaida is the Persian version of the spelling.

Popped it into Google Translate >

Al-Qaida (Arabic) = Al-Qaeda (English)

Persian = کمپ for (”the” camp) (”the” was ignored by Google Translate)

My understanding is Arabic has a western character form.

I’ve not seen a Persian equivalent.

Turkey (Ottoman Empire) did not until after WWI, when an Armenian Scholar provided the Turks with western print characters language.

“What matters is the need to face the pathological racism and bigotry in Turkey that have concealed the Armenian name of the linguist who helped create the modern Turkish language.”
