The difference between 9/11 and 10/7—two massacres of innocent people, symbols to their killers of Western civilization—was the reaction to the horror.

But I accepted. Mostly because I was being asked to give the Barbara K. Olson lecture.

Olson was 45 years old, a lawyer and a political commentator at the top of her game when she boarded American Airlines flight 77 on September 11, 2001.

She was flying to Los Angeles that day so she could appear on Bill Maher’s show, Politically Incorrect, and because she had changed her flight to have a birthday dinner with her husband, Ted. Barbara was murdered along with 3,000 other Americans that day. She managed to summon the composure, courage, and clarity to call her husband twice in those horrifying moments before the plane slammed into the Pentagon.

Anytime some moron tries to tell me the Pentagon attack was staged I ask them “Where is Barbara Olsen?”

That usually shuts them up.

Israel is an island surrounded by an ocean of ruthless heathens and savages.

Folks do not understand what is really going on because for years we have suppressed reality even here in the US. Almost immediately after 9-11 in order to create a calm (when that whole “religion of peace” junk started in our political and media language) you can see the downplay. You had the MSM and Hollywood on board with movies like “Kingdom of Heaven” (2005) which essentially blames the West and Christians for everything, and whatever inertia was left post 9-11 vaporized quickly during the Obama years when the very phrase Global War On Terror (GWOT) was literally banned from official language, the DOJ purged all training and literature which may suggest a doctrinal problem with Islam, and every act of Islamic terrorism was branded as “home grown, self radicalized, and lone wolf,” all in an attempt to refocus the peoples attention and reshape their perceptions.

While we Americans are generous and want to do right, many are very pious and try to be moral, we are foolish and outright amoral in a collective sense. Frankly, our ignorance of this world gets to a point where it is funny, although this naive world view is also very dangerous: https://www.newsbharati.com/Encyc/2023/11/11/lgbtq-support-hamas-palestine_202311111233318989_H@@IGHT_388_W@@IDTH_851.png (only in America!)

Regards Islam, it does not fit into the modern American leftist narrative of equality and tolerance and ultimately our economic interests of globalization to highlight the problems. But no matter how much we try to chrome plate this turd, it’ll keep stinking.

Islam is the ONLY religion that cannot get along with ANYONE else:

—You can mix Christians with Jews, Hindu, Buddhists, Bahia, Zoroastrians, Shinto but if you add Islam to any of them, you end up with trouble.

—It does not matter if you add Islam to the most tolerant and liberal of Western societies like the Netherlands or more conservative ones like Belarus, once you add Islam you get problems.

—It does not matter if you add Islam to countries where the majority of the population is brown as in India, or pale white as in Sweden, or if the people look Middle Eastern themselves as in Israel, where you add Islam, you get problems.

Why is that?

Because Islam is only compatible with itself.

Example: The Germans are a democracy and that’s all fine unless that democracy makes rules and decisions which go against the teachings of Islam. Germany has freedom of speech and that’s fine too, unless you mock the prophet Mohamed or talk bad about Islam. Germany has a naturalist movement: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freik%C3%B6rperkultur Germany has a beer/wine culture and women’s rights. This is a nation with a secular court system, it’s a pork eating nation and to this day even the symbol on every German piece of military hardware has what’s called the Balkenkreutz proudly displayed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balkenkreuz This is a Crusader cross: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundeswehr#/media/File:Logo_of_the_Bundeswehr.svg (not saying anything bad about it, it’s actually very cool!) Unless the Germans want to throw away their culture, religion, and history, they will forever have problems with these people they are bringing in.

But how does a country like Germany keep the peace? With a massive expenditure of resources on internal security.

If the Germans let their boot off the neck of this problem, you will literally have stabbings, bombings, vehicular, or shooting attacks.

The Germans are no different than any other Western nation, including the US where we simply cover things up, hide reality.

Islam is a society organized around religion!

It is not organized around Western philosophical ideas which have shaped our political and justice systems: no Renaissance or Enlightenment...

In Islam justice is defined by Sharia and a judge is a religious cleric (Mufti), what you eat has to be Halal, how you dress, the limits of free speech and democracy are all defined by this religion as are concepts of sexuality, gender, female and male roles in society etc.

Do you think those folks carrying LGBTQIA+ flags at pro-Palestinian rallies realize that in that part of the world, they will throw them from a high place to their death?

What is so hard to understand? It isn’t, but it’s simply not clear to these people. In the West with our censorship, PC newspeak which is all about equality, constant flood of Hollywood liberal trash and where for many people religion does not matter (we are very secular), the idea of a society organized around religion is outside of their paradigm.

Just listen to their leaders both political and religious, they tell you what they believe. Just look at where they become a majority and how they treat others. Read their doctrine and what the Koran says to do. Study 1,400 years of history. Analyze opinion polls and how they see Osama bin Laden (as a hero), AQ, the use of force to go after those that insult the prophet Mohamed or Islam.

Circling back to Israel:

(1) It is an island of Western culture surrounded by heathens and savages. It is the only country and people where you have a true democracy, a true rule of law, a semblance of freedom and rights that are not merely defined by some Koran and interpreted by clerics. Is it ethnocentric to argue like this? Yes. Israel is a modern, in a classic sense liberal Western society, a republic with a democratic system, free markets, and secular law. In the case of Ukraine, you basically have two people that are nearly identical, the Ukrainian nationalists and ethnic Russians, and we simply chose one side over another because they offered us the greatest political and economic return. In fact, even the Russians and Ukrainians are basically identical people, but in the Middle East you have a clash between very different world views.

(2) Ukraine we provoked by $hitting all over Russian controlled areas in Venezuela, Syria, Iraq and Libya; literally building bases along Russia’s border and expanding NATO East which we did say we wouldn’t; violating Minsk; and withdrawing from the Ballistic Missile Treaty. All this Western media talk about that war being Russian “aggression” and “unprovoked” is simply BS. However, Israel was attacked at the same time they were loosening some of the travel requirements, etc. In the case of Israel, the Palestinians attacked and the Israeli’s didn’t really do anything to provoke this. There was no defensive requirement for the Palestinians to do what they did (shoot missiles into urban populated areas and kill 1,400 civilians).

(3) Unlike Ukraine where we have zero requirements to come to their aid, with Israel we have four different security agreements:

(a) Mutual Defense Assistance Agreement (1952),
(b) a General Security of Information Agreement (1982),
(c) a Mutual Logistics Support Agreement (1991),
(d) and a Status of Forces Agreement (1994).

Additionally, as the nation which helped create this state, we carry some responsibility. Finally, collectively the entire Christian world carries some historical guilt even beyond the Holocaust, since Jews have been persecuted in France, Italy, Spain, England, Russia, almost everywhere. The Zionist movement and their attempt to build a Jewish state (right of return incorporates this concept) is a cause every Western Christian nation should get behind since they have been abused everywhere.

The real difference between Israel and Ukraine in regards to public opinions/support:

The Palestinians have a voice in America, the Russians do not. In fact with Russia we outright censor and block Russian official sites, much of their news and social media.

Part of the reason why we even had a war in Ukraine is because the Russians basically were entirely muted. You had those that supported NATO East expansion, EU membership, and getting knee deep in Ukraine but all opposing view points/arguments we not heard. You had an entirely one sided narrative.

The Palestinians enjoy many in the US and Western media who are Muslim:
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-lm&q=cnn+muslim+anchor
https://www.tbsnews.net/hamas-israel-war/msnbc-suspends-three-muslim-anchors-amid-hamas-israel-conflict-719002
https://www.google.com/search?q=cbs++muslim

The Palestinians have a media presence in the West and you have Western media doing business there with media spill over. You have economic and political ties and nations like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt do have a voice. You even have a few people in Congress who are highly sympathetic to the Palestinian cause and they publicly make themselves herd: https://twitter.com/RepRashida/status/1721998463649431647 The pseudo government created and monopolistic big tech firms like Google and their subsidiary YouTube or Facebook are not removing much of the content or ranking it really low: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFb3T1oF7DA With Ukraine anything that did not fit the narrative was removed or ranked very low. Facebook was removing pro-Russian material all while they were LITERALLY allowing nazi posts: https://theintercept.com/2022/02/24/ukraine-facebook-azov-battalion-russia/

The Arab/Palestinian side has informal lobbying groups which represent the interests of some in the Middle East through which even the Palestinian issue gets addressed. Turkey is a NATO ally, Muslim, and Erdogan is using this issue (siding with the Palestinians) to propel himself into a leadership position for the region.

***The point is that while with Ukraine the Euro’s, US, big corporations, oligarchs and government all were in agreement, consequently our media being just an echo chamber literally cheer-leading for war with Ukraine, in the Israel-Palestinian conflict you’re seeing two sides battle it out for public opinion since the Palestinians do have a voice. You cannot overstate the influence of media on public perceptions.

However, it is Israel where the argument for support and the simplification of good guy (Israel) vs. bad guy (Palestinians) holds true.

Yet it is with Israel where you see many in the US and EU population side with the Palestinians.
