Baloney. Tiktok is stiff competition for Zuckerberg and that’s it. It’s a superior product to Facebook and Instagram and is blowing them away in growth, so Zuck called his purchased congressmen and demanded action against his competitor.
When this anti-tiktok movement started last spring, I didn’t know anything about it. So I tried it. I found it to be a superior product and very positive. A session of doomscrolling on X, Instgram or Facebook leaves you agitated and annoyed. TikTok quickly learns what you enjoy and tailors it to your interests. You can click on a post and see less of them in the future.
You like music, Roman history, Jordan Pederson, travel suggestions and Horses... that is what you’ll get.
You like comedy, dog videos, airplanes and accoustic guitar, that is what you’ll get.
The main risk is that you’ll use it too long. It can be as addicting as any other. But a long session of it doesn’t leave you pissed off and in a bad mood like X, or the others. It’s a very good product.
And danger of my data being stolen by China? Make me laugh... I avoid that by sending it to Zuck, San Francisco, Apple, and Google? Please.
The hate on TikTok is because it is not easy for the FBI to get into it and make them do things for DC.
