$15 for a McDonalds or Wendy’s meal - no thanks - ONLY in an emergency situation.
Fast food costs out the wazoo... it’s poorly made by unsupervised low-skilled workers... and the customer service (by those same unsupervised low-skilled workers) ranges from nonexistent to downright surly.
So it’s hard to understand why fewer folks are signing up for that abuse.
Another report from Captain Obvious!
$20.67 to eat at McD? No thanks!
Learned my lesson.

Notice that there are almost NO families eating at McD anymore. Why not? Who’s got $50 or $100 to for a family garbage lunch? The crows in the parking lot have the right idea so far as financial management is concerned... pay no more than its worth)
Wake me when there are mass closures of coffee kiosks. /s
“We have food at home.” Literally.
Cutting down on fast foods is a quick and easy way to immediately tighten belts.
Then of course, fast foods are very unhealthy.
No sh!t sherlock. That’s been the story for a few years here. No biggie as we try to go as clean as possible for our food and meat choices.
I see it as almost exclusively a ‘road trip’ food. If I am driving somewhere i will indulge as it is fast and has a well known menu and some consistency. If I’m in my city i’ll typically cook at home or occasionally visit a non chain local place.
$25 w Tip for Fish and Chips at Red Robin.
I am eating at home more often these days because the quality of food being prepared by incompetent chefs at restaurants is bad and overpriced.
I think one by one, they will go to the wayside...and new, small home cooking restaurants will take over in Town after Town. The not so poor can still go to their high priced restaurants.
I haven’t participated in the fast food realm but maybe a handful of times in 20 years.
I can cook a good meal at home ,three people $10.00.
Have leftovers for lunch or $45.00 for fast food that’s trying to kill us.
I remember when almost all the fast food places practically to the day came out with the almost meat sandwiches. Chemicals, no thanks
I got a text from a friend who ate at MacDonald’s every morning for breakfast for years - he said the usual breakfast he gets - Egg McMuffin, hash browns and coffee is now over $11.00. Yesterday was his last day for his breakfast routine. I suspect he is not alone.
I know in my own family, eating out is now a rare treat, reserved for birthday or special celebrations, and not a once or twice-a-week activity as it was before, it’s simply become too expensive.
Just put on a pot roast for dinner tonight...
Spit is gluten and calorie-free.
Fast food can be tasty and convenient, but when it’s not one or the other, and the nutrition and price are added factors, it becomes difficult to justify the experience.
It used to be affordable, and you ignored the nutrition part, because you also got the taste and convenience.
FAKE NEWS - We had people here who said that if all food joints (fast and sit-down) doubled their prices, there would be NO EFFECT on business, as no one would have the option of dining for less, so they’ll accept the prices.
So I’m not fooled!
We rarely eat out, and when we do we rate the establishment based on employee and building cleanliness as well as food quality. One of the best we’ve discovered is Culvers. The worst, one we will no longer go to, is McDonalds. We’ve discovered Wendy’s uses fake meat, it’s no longer on the to-go-to list.
Have y’all walked into a fast food place of late and observed the .......”servers”? Especially SBucks? Only Chic-filA has normal looking servers and that company supports grooming. So, forget it.
