Several anti-Israel protesters vandalized a World War I memorial statue in Central Park Monday – and burned an American flag at its base – after a group of more than 1,000 marchers were blocked by cops from reaching the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the star-studded Met Gala was in full swing.
A few of the protesters lit the flag on fire at the site of the One Hundred Seventh Infantry Memorial, which they graffitied with “Gaza” in large black letters and covered in stickers reading “Stop the genocide. End the apartheid. Free Palestine.”
Some of the protesters climbed atop the bronze soldiers and waved Palestinian flags or draped them over the figures.
Cops arrested approximately two dozen poeple before the flag-burning incident as the massive swarm of protesters marched from Hunter College toward the Met, according to police sources.
The still-growing crowd marched north on Fifth Avenue — blocking traffic along the way — before cops stopped them at the East 79th Street Transverse in Central Park.
The protesters had set out from Hunter College, where the Palestinian activist group Within Our Lifetime called for a “Day of Rage” protest to form and then march towards the Met.
“Disclose, divest, we will not stop, we will not rest,” the group chanted as they waved Palestinian flags and wore keffiyeh face coverings.
Despite setting their sights on the glitzy event — which has long been expected to be the target of demonstrations — the demonstrators could not reach the iconic art museum.
Cops managed to divert the crowd into Central Park before blocking the exits, where they remained at a standstill and confused about how to progress.

I predicted this would happen after seeing monuments to Confederate dead desecrated by the federal government at Arlington and elsewhere.

Messing with a WWI Monument... which predates even the British Mandate (which most have zero concept of even if they could know the Balfour Declaration, so in love with “palestinians” who have NEVER existed unless you want to include the Judeans who fought the Roman Empire for decades. It was the Romans who named the are Palestina instead of Judea... which is what it has been for thousands of years).
Mess with the Monument— find out who your Enemies really are— this cannot happen. Trashing American Doughboys— whose politics incidentally were decidedly Wilsonian and Democrat. Wonder if they know that?

Keep in mind that WW1 was the official end of the Ottoman Empire. The last time there was truly a Muslim caliphate. What Muslims around the world want back.
Even though the OE had been weakening for centuries before WW1, it might still be around today if they hadn't made the dumb mistake of joining WW1, on the Axis side.

I get that. Point is, leave the US monument to our dead the hell alone. Or suffer the consequences in ways they cannot imagine as yet. Cultural memory is not dead in this regard- not even in olde guard demonrats- the few who stand in disgust with joey bags xiden.
I’m 100% with you. I just thought I read in your post that it makes no sense for Muzzies to do it (i.e. the land concerning Israel wasn’t set up until after WW2). I’m just pointing out that their in this case their their criminal activity is symbolic to them and the only way they’ll stop is either being put into prison or put into the ground.
