I'm trying to figure out why they are questioning the amounts paid to Cohen. We know he was reimbursed for the $130,000. Surely he was paid to get that "project" done. There had to be plenty of "billable" communications between Cohen and her attorney and the other attorney involved. Was Cohen supposed to work for nothing.

Let's be real...Trump was being blackmailed...

I do believe Cohen called the shots...for payment to be made in $35,000 increments that covered an entire year...12 months. So what....he worked....he got paid.

Totally agree. It was a shakedown op and the victim is on trial.

As a county court, they do not have jurisdiction to charge former President Trump with violating the Federal Election Campaign Act.

What they are trying to do is connect Trump to Cohen’s guilty plea of violating the Federal law based on his making the $130,000 payment, then convince the jury that it can be used as the underlying crime without Trump actually being convicted of the crime.

In looking at the Federal law, it appears that Trump had to reimburse Cohen or he would have been in violation of the law for accepting a prohibited campaign contribution.
