This is one brave judge. The smartest thing the Dems can do is say Smith was chosen illegally and the case should be dropped.
Here’s my idea if a judge wanted to prove they’re not dem political stooges, but I don’t know if it’s within their power. Get all parties involved together and have them sign affidavits under pain of contempt sentences and disbarment for the lawyers. They would state that if the trial were held after Nov 5, they would still be ready to go ahead. Election day is the dems real deadline. My guess is that the dems would just drop it all after the 5th.
My example was their goofy tactics of trying to get abuse charges to stick to Arnold Schwarzenegger in his run for Calif Governor. The MSM and bimbo parade took to calling him the Gropenator. About a week before the election I posted here that the day after election, we’d never hear from the gaggle of strumpets again. And I joked that the entire media would lose their phone numbers. Jack Smith used a DC grand jury to indict Trump on the documents case despite the fact that jurisdictionally since the site of the alleged documents possession violation was Mar A Lago he could only try it in Florida. He was hoping to bootstrap the indictment into a DC trial. He got checkmated and forced to try it before a fair judge in Florida who sees through all his tactical nonsense. News flash, Jack. You’re not getting your trial before the election. Probably, with the latest SC immunity review, not even the J6 trial in DC.
Question for the Lawyers here - If judge merchan denied the mistrial, who can they get a ruling from? He is obviously completely compromised.
