Unfortunately, the ideas of the founders may become even more distant. We are poised for a grand assault of American Bill of Rights including gun rights. Freepers are mad and justifiably so but even many of they will probably applaud a civil liberties and gun rights crackdown. The hysteria will could be completely out of control. Let's hope Dubya keeps his head. We are depending on him.

Good post: Our liberties will probably indeed come under attack, as you so astutely surmise. However, I am depending on God (not Bush) -- and praying for Bush (and all our leaders -- executive, legislative, judicial, and military)!
