It would be difficult for Kerik if he had employed illegals, since, as head of HSD is the overseer of immigration, too.
Right I read that... But if I appoint a guy that I think is the BEST in the NATION to head up a Department and he withdwawes because of some obscue BS, the I have a a DUTY TO THE NATION to REFUSE that withdrawal and fight for what is right and good for the country,

It looks like the loony left has scored a success. It is obvious to anyone who cares about our country's safety that Kerik was the right man for the job. Now thanks to the "slimes" and other MSM we'll have to nominate a milktoast lily white clean nominee who can be confirmed. Believe me we needed this hard-nosed cop to be in charge of our nations homeland security. Chalk up another success for the PC crowd!

I'd read that Kerik was a political climber and that he got the chief job by being Rudy's driver and was promoted over a 30-yr street cop. Was the guy you met a street cop or admin?
Um, "republicans" didn't "use" anything to kill clinton nominations.
This type of thing sinks the nominee, dem or republican, is the plain and simple point.

Kerik pulled his OWN nomination! - He obviously didn't have the stones to take the media heat and the stepped down - Nothing more, nothing less and America is in no worse shape because of this -
Do not try to make this into a bigger issue than it is - it is in reality a non-issue (another good man will replace him) - Replace him within a new bureaucracy that for the most part is just another added layer of mostly not-needed Gov't )
