By your definition, your lunch was 'life support'.
How would you like it if your government locked you in a room and didn't let you have anything to eat or drink for two weeks? How would you like it if our legal and political leaders determined that for some reason your 'quality of life' was such that you had no further constitutional rights?
Y'all just haven't thought this thing through.
You are the one who hasn't thought this thing thru.
Imagine YOU are in a PVS for 15 YEARS, sustained only by a feeding tube with no chance of ever recovering. (Spare me the answers to the "no chance", I've heard the arguments about that)..
I honestly wouldn't have a problem with being starved to death. I'd hope that someone would give me an overdose of morphine to help the process along, but that's my call. I'm sure they would make me comfortable and I'd fall into a deep sleep and wake up in the arms of our Lord.
Besides that, if I were in a PVS, I wouldn't know what was happening anyway. Would you?
That said, I am sorry Terri's death has caused so many people so much grief. That's the truth.
