We did have a good time. I was going to make dessert but one of them insisted on bringing a home made carrot cake. I just ran over half the cake to my dessert buddy down the street because I just CANNOT have that much cake in the house. LOL
Thank you -- I think.
Oh, no! What a terrible fate for a carrot cake! Did it survive?
LOL
OF course if anyone says the word Nazi then they want the whole forum closed down.
I , frankly ,am tired of the hysteria they show and obsession that drives them over the issue of Terri.
If they aren't interested, why do they care what we say?
Do they have a point other than the judge is all powerful and the fact that they want to stop people from voicing their opinions? What the heck are they so frightened of?
I look at them as a weird kind of comedic relief.
If we get bogged down with them then we can't do what's important.
Tell me, has the Terri Schivao case given us a glimpse of what is allegedly going on in FL?
Lure senior citizens down there, get someone like a lawyer to be their guardian, sell their homes off to shell businesses for 1/3 of their worth (to be later sold to others at market value), deplete their bank accoutns then stick them in a hospice and kill them?
She could have run for office as a Dem then!
I never realized so many people had so much schooling in anatomy. I'm amazed that there are so many qualified to immediately dismiss any opinion, including the opinion of the person who opened her head and actually saw her brain, when they did not. Just so many know for a fact the brain shrinks in half with dehydration.
Truly amazing. They dont seem to get the difference between shrinkage and disappearance. It wasnt that Terri's brain got dehyrdated and shrunk, big chunks of it were totally gone according to the x-ray or scan done years ago. They seem totally willing to grasp at anything to believe that given just a "nuge" of therapy she would have been up dancing and talking up a storm. After all, didnt the Schindlers say she spoke clearly when they were going to take the feeding tube out. The Schindlers wouldnt lie to save their daughter would they? Duh.
The silly doctor by using the silly Noble nomination ruse brought into question his own credentials. And the willingness of some to continue to use the Noble nomination as support after it was known that anyone on this forum could just as easily make the same claim shows their desparation or gulibility.
PRobably came from the lawsuit.
Now, I certainly don't want to say any such thing or make you angry, so I'll just tiptoe out and never tell anyone how good your work is.
A very silly argument.
P.S. It IS spelled "Nobel," y'know.
Nice try but what is wrong with your analogy is I didnt ask you to nominate me but the good charlatan doctor did ask the politician to do so and then He, the charlatan doctor, promoted the nomination as thought it had some meaning. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
It has to do with his vanity, maybe, if your version of the story is true. (I heard a different story but have no first-hand information which version is so, if either is.)
Now, why should we suppose the politician would go along with such a scheme if the doctor's work didn't have merit? He doesn't want to be a laughingstock. If he's going to put his reputation on the line for the doctor, the presumption must be that he approves of or admires the doctor's work. And there we are back at square one. The "nomination" is a compliment, even if it didn't go through channels.
Certainly hyperbaric medicine is a recognized and growing field of medicine. It usually concerns diving, of course, but Dr. Hammersfahr may well be exactly right that it may offer hope for some patients with brain damage.
Here's an interesting page: Conference on hyperbaric medicine (2004)
Dr. Hammesfahr is a member of the symposium in good standing and we even get a little light on the Nobel business. Quote, "Dr. Hammesfahrs careful use of vasodilators and his excellent results have resulted in a proposal for Nobel Prize nomination. This is extremely important information and its applications are synergistic with hyperbaric oxygen therapy."
"A proposal for" a Nobel nomination. This is careful and correct wording. There was no impropriety here. Dr. Hammesfahr's peers approved this statement and honored him with a role in the symposium. He is clearly a fine doctor.
Come on now. This is political site. You cant honestly say you dont know why a politician would write a worthless letter of recommendation to the Nobel Committee other than the Doctor's work had merit? :-)
That's why everybody knows these sleazy attacks on Dr. Hammesfahr are a smear.
Does anyone know exactly what the conspiracy would be? What is being hidden, and for what purpose?
Liberals are pushing for euthanasia. They've pulled it off internationally and they want it here. It's part of the death culture that's become the modern democrat party.
