In the Eastern Theater: The Army of Northern Virginia Battle Flag was Square. (shown is the 4th Bunting Issue)

The Battle Flag of the Army of he penninsula was square.

The Battle Flags of the Department of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida were square 48", 36" or 30" depending on the classification of the unit.

In the Western Theater, there is way to much variation in Battle Flags. The only one that Looks familiar is the Army of Tennessee after 1863, (previously shown.) Here are three examples to show what I mean:

fyi, i've stopped trying to document ALL the CSPATMW flags.

there are simply TOO MANY of them. SOME platoon-size units had their own battle-flags.

NONE of the battle-flags were EVER official. CSA units made whatever they liked. free dixie,sw
