Is it any different than what normally happens here? A creationist says that slavery is perfectly moral, and no other creationist comes forth to say he is an idiot. Instead we get attacked for calling him out on it. Then another creationist posts a racist quote from a banned author on his homepage; and no creationist attacks the quote but instead whine's about US picking on the poor guy. Now there is a story of an evolutionist getting beat up and when some creationists cheer the attack, the others whine about the association of Creationism and violence. Never condemning those doing the cheering.

I think the pattern is obvious, and telling.

Why is it that when some criminal does something that the ONLY area that everyone chooses to believe him on is a *profession* of faith, like he's telling the truth.

The only area? You must be new here. Watch what happens next time some criminal tries to blame his criminality on, say, pornography. Watch how many people right here on this board rush to believe him. Bonus points for you if you spot posters who make the same complaint as you do here, but then support such a claim later on.

The difference is in the maturity level of the discussion. I choose not to go into serious namecalling fests. Thats not how I want to represent myself on Fr. Others obviously have a different way.

This is one of those threads thats become an embarrasment to Fr. No matter what side of the topic you are on. Few have taken the high ground, many have decided to take this article and use it to "beat up" on each other.
