It is that if someone wants to believe God created everything, he/she does not need to try to "shoot down" the evolutionary evidence because the two issues - one Faith, one scientific, belong to different disciplines and are not mutually exclusive...I think that Pope John Paul II's statement on the subject is just about the only rational one that I have heard from a church leader that whose views I respect...
