I dunno...the suspense is gone. When does the new one begin?

He signed a contract in late June. His band will be called Daughtry.

Thanks for posting this, Jonny. The enticement for those of us who did see the first season, is that they are supposedly going to show more episodes and more of what went on behind the scenes. Should be interesting. :)

BTW, I forgot to tell you Carrie was on the cover of one of the teen magazines this month. I saw it when I was standing in line at the supermarket. Don't remember which mag, though, but it was a very nice photo.

I went back to McLeansville for his homecoming concert and developed several sources. If you missed them, I did articles about Chris in FULL THROTTLE and ADOPTION TODAY magazines. The June timeframe is an estimate. The official announcement came later. He was in New York just before his homecoming concert. He closed on a 690K home in North Carolina not long after that. For him to get that house, he had to be under contract.

Thank ya Jonny for the A I ping can't wait till the new season starts!

This should be loads of fun!

I have been watching/ enjoying A I from the start.

Kelly was my 1st pick.

What was America thinkin' to vote J G 2nd!

Clay Aiken was my 2nd season Fave
but can so very much see why Reuben won...

Equal talent just different singing style.

Happy either way for 1st/2nd.

3rd year Fantasia.

4th year Carrie.

5 th yr Chris Daugtry.

His renditions of ""Walk The Line"

& "Man Loves A Woman" are unforgettable!

After Chris got voted off though

it became an either or toss up between Taylor & Elliot.

I never rooted for Kathrine.

She lacked personality or character or both, I think.

There, now all caught up to join you

& the others here for some fun during season 6 etc...!

Me too. I'm almost tempted to watch Simon Cowell's "Celebrity Duets".

Almost.

I pretty much liked all of Chris's performances.
Still am baffled as to why he was voted off.
Guess folks thought he was safe.
Oh well, he will have a great career anyway.
A I served as a spring board.

Awww, thanks again!
Happy to partake, am I!

"From Kelly to Justin: "You still here?"

I get it...Movie Title reversal...

lol x 2!

Good 'un.

No he's (J. G.) not "still here"...
(meaning no longer famous/popular...)
Thankfully!
He shouldn't have ever been so.

Nice review, Doug... I was at the same concert at the Pond.

Did Taylor sound hoarse to you? While his voice will never be as smooth as Elliot's, his voice seemed especially raspy that night and I noticed he kept pressing his hand on his sternum when he sang (which is something I do when I talk when I have laryngitis).

I didn't notice him sounding hoarse, but, of course, I had earplugs in my ears.

I saw Chris on Tuesday night in Hershey. He was awesome! Chris created the energy in the hall for sure. Here's my assessment: Katharine and Mandisa were the most classy of all the girls; all the other girls appeared to do was strut across the stage. Paris did some weird Beyonce Knowles Butt shaking thing. Kelly looked like a doll (the plastic kind) and her lipstick was way too red. She had a nice speech prepared about Hershey chocolate. Ace got everybody all excited. The audience is largely middle aged women (like me) who bring their kids. Although, my husband came too.

The second half of the show opened with Chris and the crowd went wild! Everybody was off their chairs! He and Elliott segued into a Fuel song, I think (the singers introduced the next higher up singer (except for Lisa and Paris because they are "best friends"). After Elliott and Chris and after Elliott, the four guys came out (except for Taylor) and Bucky and Chris played the guitar and Ace and Elliott - oh it is called "Patience". Then Katharine came out and sang her songs and did have some problems with her voice at first with Rainbow but overcame that. She looks thinner than on the show and wore a black dress while the other girsl except mandisa wore tight jeans. Taylor was okay, but talked the songs if you know what I mean. OH! He did thank the troops and dedicated DIMYP to them! He said lets hear it for the troops. All in all, Chris is going to be the best seller of this group, and Elliott, I think, with his vocals will end up doing better than expected. I can see them teaming up for some things, and they should.

Chris Daughtry is going to be the biggest star ever to come out of Idol.
