Fortunately, my kids are now out of school. I know when I volunteered (2 years ago) there were no drills at our school. Administrations better wake up!

We woke up after someone (turned out to be a parent) called in a bomb scare on the second day of school about 5 years ago.

All of us were sitting/standing in a playing fields of the school ground.

All I could imagine was some nut case driving by spraying the playground with rounds of ammo while we stood in the field waiting for an all clear.
