Right. It's like I said. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. But that shouldn't stop us from thinking about possible ways to handle different situations. We were talking about a variety of different hostage situations, and weighing the possible choices in handling different situations. Please don't pull out one of those posts, and assign it a meaning that I didn't intend. For the record, it appears to me that this community, along with law enforcement, handled the situation the best way it could be handled. I can't think of anything that should have been done differently.

BykrBayb, I understood your meaning, and found no fault in it whatsoever. I am somewhat in the same boat as you in that I would like people to find more courage in situations such as these instead of running in fear. A courage multiplier, for the Teachers anyway, might be allowing them to conceal and carry within the school. Or, if that doesn't fly with most people, post police watches on the schools. One or two officers per school shouldn't be too much of a burden. They don't even have to patrol within the school, just outside of it, either on foot or on bike.
