And on a national level, we all saw this in 1992 when H. Ross Perot - in effect - handed the keys to the White House over to Slick Willie and the Hildabeast.
Free Republic wasn't around back then of course, but I wonder how many FReepers would have (and in fact did) vote for Perot?

the government isn't promoting lesbian rights here, it just isn't preventing a lesbian from having a child
Here is a quote from you: "I want policies in force with responsible people in office that promote anti-gay, pro-family values".
So you are saying you want government to start telling people how they can and cannot act in their most private affairs. You want your own morality legislated
I think that this is not the role of government.

I didn't. But if the GOP puts up a pro-abort/pro-homo/anti-gun liberal like Giuliani, all bets are off.

.....you see, the Christians you so despise are willing to take up arms to keep your head and body intact. Even if you don't realize it.
And yet, you claim you know what a non sequitur is. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Gotta get runnin' now.

Keep your lip buttoned down.

It's absolutely no stretch to assume that a child brought into a lesbian relationship with no father will have serious psychological issues.
It's a stretch to say you know what specific issues they will have. It's a stretch to say that all lesbians put their careers ahead of their children.

Depends on the situation. With the Cheney's resources, I don't see a problem. Then, you're a fool if you don't think it hurts a child to be denied a father and to be raised by a couple of perverts.
To: ChurtleDawg
Don't know why I bother in responding, you just don't sem to get it, but here goes another attempt.....
So you are saying you want government to start telling people how they can and cannot act in their most private affairs
Try and think on a National Security level. Yes, I want the government wire-tapping Islamic telephone calls, I want surveilance on drug cartels, I want cameras in the desert to catch illegals. I want cops having the right to search with a warrant. I want profiling done at airports. I want sex predators off the internet. I want DWI checkpoints to stop the 17,000 plus DWI deaths each year. I want a background check on all immigrants. And yes, I want fiscally sound policies that promote family values. I'm tired of welfare queens and prisons full of fatherless children. I'm tired of the RINO'S like Mark Foley who contributed to the GOP's loss 2 months ago. And I'm tired of Mary Cheney and those like her who want to shut me up.
I could go on, but you get the idea.

The question is, what's next for the parents if the adult children they love continue on the path they've chosen in life? Cut them out of the will? Exile them to Elba? Make them stand in a corner? I guess there would a point that would happen (cutting off all contact), right? If a brother was molesting his sister...If a child committed mass murder, etc.
Any parents that are public figures with any true moral convictions would state unequivocally that they believed their daughter's lifestyle and choice to bring a child into the world in this manner was wrong.

Not at all. But then again, you don't seem too terribly well informed on the issue.
Here's a statement for you: "The best venue for raising children is the stable, loving, male-female, two-parent traditional family. Thus, every effort should be made to encourage and strengthen the traditional family, and discourage alternate forms which can cause harm to children."
Agree or disagree?

Exactly. I've highlighted where the problem is.

LOL Theatrics, dramatics, and absolute out of line accusations are always used by those who promote the homosexual lifestyle. Right in there with "hate" and "bigot" and "racist" being used to equate any opinion not matching their own.

"No, conservatism was never about promoting doing whatever feels good. No one is suggesting the government do anything about it. Calling something wrong that is morally wrong is conservatism. You confuse conservatism with libertarianism."
Thank you, finally someone said it!

The RNC has a habit of funding the least conservative in any group of contenders. The the voters are stuck with a Dem versus a RINO.
