Rudy is the most forceful candidate in the race.

He has a long history of standing up to the race hustlers, the arab sheiks, the arafats of this world.

He took down the mob, ran the pornographers out of family neighborhoods in NYC, got Times Square from a sewer to a jewel, visited by people from all over the world.

He took on the so called artists who would put elephant dung on a sculpture of Madonna.

And you’re ‘worried’ that he’d have to be more forceful.

Give me a break. You are totally disingenuous, and I suspect you know it.

can you conceive of the fact that not everyone views rudy the same way you do? to disagree with his policies, to think he is NOT the best candidate is not to hate him. Smokin’ joe’s posts on this thread have presented the most cogent, rational and reasonbale accounting, in my opinion, of what those of us who oppose rudy feel. he said it without vitriol, without venom and without any snideness. if one cannot accept what he has said and just say, “hey, i guess we just disagree on this” but instead find fault with what he is saying, then i think that is a problem. oldfriend you and i have spoken quite cordially in the past. you and i disagree rather strongly on rudy giuliani. i don’t think you are a troll, but i have been taken aback at the tenor and tone of some of your posts. no doubt you have felt similarly about mine. i think there comes a point when people just have to realize WE DO NOT SEE RUDY THE SAME WAY THAT YOU DO. that doesn’t make us wrong, and it doesn’t make you wrong. everyone looks at these things through the prism of their own judgments and views. To many here, rudy is unacceptable as our nominee. The reasons have been posted ad infinitum. We are simply not persuaded by the things you are persuaded by and then, inevitably, our failure to perceive him in the same way means we are unappeasable, religious nutjobs, or just HATERS. none of it is true, and you must know that.

Forceful? The graveyards of Europe, Southeast Asia, China, and much of the world have been filled by the forceful.

It is one thing to 'take down the mob' (are they really gone? start a trash business in NYC and get back to me on that...)as a Mayor, in effect a dictator of policy. It is quite another to do so within Constitutional restraints, working with Congress, with the Pentagon, with national security agencies, with Governors and legislatures of the 50 states, and with Heads of State around the world.

It is not the same thing.

I look at that forcefulness and then note that he is anti-gun, and I am a gunowner. Fully half the guns I own are semi automatic rifles, the very types he has supported banning. Do I want that?

I note he is pro abortion, even to the point where he would have the taxpayers pick up the tab, and I think abortion is murder.

I do not want to pay for the cold-blooded murder of babies.

He is forceful, but he used it to NOT rid New York City of illegal aliens and NOT comply with Federal Law.

Need I continue?

Force alone is not enough.

The policies which will govern that use of force are even more important. In Rudy's case the sword has two edges, and his politics do not agree with mine. Why would I vote for someone who is going to use force against what I believe in? I can get that with Hillary, who is also ruthless.
