On the way to the airport and didn't quite make it? Why use that airport when the closer, and bigger, one is in Nairobi, the capital city? And, getting on a flight? Presumably a long-haul international flight of many hours duration. While 9 months pregnant and about to pop? Seriously?

Why would they go all the way to Mombasa to deliver a baby? Why would a pregnant Galillean woman, about to give birth, get on a donkey and ride all the way to Bethlehem just so her husband could register for his taxes?
