The issue of documentation was done after Republic was established although the original was before.

Goldwater’s BC would today be issued by the state of Arizona, not the Territory.


You have one key fact completely wrong.

The documentation before us was issued BEFORE a republic was established, and yet it has an official seal that reads "republic of kenya".

The document is dated February 17th, 1964, and Kenya didn't become a republic until December 1964. BOTH the original BC and this certified copy were created BEFORE kenya was a republic. Your argument depends on Kenya being a republic before February 17th 1964 -- it wasn't

They were a Republic according to their constitution, adopted in 1963 from what I’ve read.

What else would they call themselves in the interim? They weren’t a dominion anymore. I think we have to find some other documents from the time period in order to have a sure answer.

CONSTITUTION OF KENYA
Adopted in 1963, Amended in 1999
CHAPTER I- THE REPUBLIC OF KENYA
Article 1

Kenya is a sovereign Republic.

Article 1A

The Republic of Kenya shall be a multiparty democratic state.

Article 2

The Public Seal of Kenya shall be such device as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament.

Article 2A

(Repeated by 12 of 1991, s. 2).

Article 3

This Constitution is the Constitution of the Republic of Kenya and shall have the force of law throughout Kenya and, subject to section 47, if any other law is inconsistent with this Constitution, this Constitution shall prevail and the other law shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be void.

Article 4

Henceforth shall all government agencies use “Republic of Kenya” on all official documents. Any documents issued before the ratification date shall be printed using the new name. Any doubters or dissenters of policy, now or in the distant future shall have their carcasses tied to wildebeasts and be dragged across the plains.
