Agreed, but 3021 says that the birth announcement was generated by information from the HI state officials based on hospital reports, that parents/grandparents did not phone these in.

If so, that does make it difficult to explain two distinct newspaper announcements of a Honolulu birth on Aug. 4 that actually took place in Mombasa.

No. See info in post #3093. In Hawaii, a birth can be registered even when the child is born out of state. And it’s those registrations — from state records, most of which do indeed come from hospitals, but not all — from which the newspaper list is compiled.

Which hospital? There is a discrepancy about two hospitals.

purely conjecture on my part, but remember that Frank Marshall Davis was a 'journalist' for many years in Hawaii...he wrote for a commie paper...but the two papers the 'birth announcements' appeared in, were printed by the same print shop. And Frank Marshall Davis, with his Union connections would have had access to THE PRINTERS!

Not really.

Ann wasn’t able to pass on citizenship - so jr would not have been a US citizen. Grandma could have gone to the hospital, got a birth certificate, filled it out, forged Ann’s signature, and submitted it to the Health Dept. This is a legitamate option (other than forged mothers signature) for registering a birth in Hawaii - you could even do it by mail!

This would give Obama a VERY good reason not to want to release his original birth certificate, because this would become evident.
