Why such hostility towards Sarah Palin? Has she said something that affronts your conservative principals — versus any other pol purporting to be a “conservative”? It’s one thing to say you don’t think she should be president — I think good conservatives can have differing opinions on that — but “Palinistas”? Do you work for CNN? Seriously.
The answer is that no other potential Republican candidate for 2012 has enough credibility for his backers to even admit that’s what they are.
So they try to tear down and sow dissention for Palin, the best candidate we have, without admitting that their own candidate is an mushier Republican than they are even attempting to paint Palin as.

I’m not as hostile towards Sarah (although I don’t think she is ready for the presidency, so shoot me) as I am toward the messiah worship that is exhibited by her most ardent admirers.
I loathed it during the ‘08 election towards Obama and I loath it now that it has found a new home.
