Disaster aid given by government is a lot like a plantation master offering to send his slaves over to help clean up the mess.
Charity is freely given, it can’t be beaten out of you.
Americans always willingly donate to disaster causes. It is we, the people, who are compassionate.
The government HAS no money. With the election of Barack Obama, OUR money is being ill-spent by bailing out auto industries, banks, mortgages, ad nauseum.
It’s okay to ‘give til it hurts’, but only if you approve of where your hard-earned money is going to.
The bloom is off the rose that is Obama because many americans don’t approve of where our money is going to.
