Do you think — given the time and motivation — you could have made this too?

You mean as a physical document indistinguishable from a genuine Hawaiian document? Sure. Just get me some of the paper and the seal. :)

You'd probably do a better job on the Obama COLB seal than this one shown below given the time.

About 10 years ago, the going rate for a fake US Military ID was about $500.
It's more than tripled now, but quite doable with the right contacts; the bad guys
just need some extra bribe money to get it registered into the DEERS system,
then it's damn near impossible for OSI to catch them without a subsequent background check.

Even with all of the counter-counterfeiting measures in place — it's expensive,
but if properly motivated
— one could even clone a passport good enough (complete with
holographic overlay
) to get close enough to (allegedly) assassinate a member of Hamas in UAE.

'Scared': Melvyn Mildiner, left, and the picture used in
the cloned passport, right, claiming to be him.

Could you manufacture birth certificate paper to appear to be VERY authentic
right down to the watermark and seal — if you were motivated to do so?

Obviously, there IS a market for that type of thing ...

In other words, referring back to Post 3123, if properly motivated, it is VERY possible to reproduce a fake birth certificate, correct?
