Well, the leftist claim that he was born in the city outside of the base.
Since it is a moot point, I quit looking into it, but just this week I read that he was, indeed, born on US controlled territory.
Whatever, it is water under the bridge.
I thought my next grandchild was going to be born in Germany, on base. But since my son is in Afghanistan, for at least another nine months, His wife decided to go home to Columbus, GA to serve out her last trimester. Don’t think that will result in citizenship problems.
McCain was born outside the Panama Canal Zone,in Colon,Panama. Military bases in foreign countries are NOT considered U.S. Soil.

If a military base is overseas, the land belongs to the nation in which it is located.
Panama’s Canal Zone was considered an unincorporated territory where the children born to U.S. citizens had statutory citizenship BUT were not considered Natural born Citizens. So, they were U.S. citizens without being eligible for the Presidency and V. Presidency.

Keep in mind when reading the above that Congress has no power to grant ANYONE Natural born Citizenship. To change the U.S.Constitution is a lengthy process and our national legislators have been trying to bypass the legal method for years, the putzes!
