I saw this RUMOR when it first popped up last evening. It was from a questionable souce, it was second or third-hand (”from someone inside the Palin camp”), it was unsubstantiated, it was conveniently placed on several unofficial Pro-Palin sites, and it drew a great deal of attention to one radio show.

I told a number of people last night that NOWHERE was there any kind of official word about this. Sarah Palin hadn’t said anything. NONE of the officials, stations, or principal people that would have had to be involved said anything publicly — even though there were FALSE reports that “people at the station said” or “someone in the Palin came said...” And I made clear to everyone (1) DON’T run with this until you hear from Sarah herself, and (2) DON’T blame Sarah if it turns out to be untrue, as she had NOTHING to do with it.

And yet, some on this thread take the opportunity to bash Sarah Palin anyway. It figures. What does Sarah have to apologize for? She didn’t start the RUMOR. Go to the unreliable source. Sarah Palin has no responsibility to answer for a rumor she had nothing to do with starting.

Sarah Palin has made clear, numerous times, that she is praying about, discussing with family and considering entering the Presidential race — but that she will announce a decision by the end of September. She knows the current circumstances, the time constraints and the commitments she’s made. I think she can be trusted to keep her word — and the fact is, if she doesn’t announce something by Sept. 30th, the deadline for fin]ling for the Iowa Caucus will pass, and that would cripple any real shot at a candidacy anyway.

So, chill with the harsh words for Lady Palin. Truth is, looking at the current crop of Republican Candidates, Sarah stands head and shoulders above every other current candidate in integrity, principle, ideology and identification with common American citizens. I really believe we should be hoping she runs — or we might be in for a LONG 4 years after then next election....

I’m getting done with her. She’s overdue.

I like Sarah Palin, and if Romney wins the repub nomination, I will be a rabid supporter if she announces a 3rd party candidacy with the Constitution Party.

At this point, I will vote in the primary for the most conservative, pro-life, pro-God, etc. Republican candidate with a chance of being elected.

At this point, that is Rick Perry.

I don’t have a warm fuzzy feeling about the electability of Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, and Gingrich.
