PROMISE! My Last Palin Post Ever (Says if Erik Erickson is over you, you're done! LOL)
The Manteca Bulletin ^ | September 30, 2011 | Anthony Cheeks

Posted on 09/30/2011 8:17:51 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

It seems that activity in these blogs and in the letters forums certainly picked up when discussing the fortunes of the former governor of Alaska. We leftists were spared no amount of scorn and ridicule due to our criticism of Sarah Palin. Of course it was never made to clear how our criticism of Palin is any different from the vitriol directed towards Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer in these same forums, but that is another topic.

I am writing this post, because today just might mark a key turning point in the political fortunes of Sarah Palin. It would seem that we folks on the left are no longer the only ones who are starting to grow a tad weary of her.

Redstate.com is a conservative, even borderline hard-core right wing web site. The proprietor is a man named Erick Erickson who today expressed his own frustration with Palin's ongoing will-she or won't-she run saga that makes Hamlet look downright decisive. But the point is that he did not do it with straight-ahead political commentary, he used the kind of mocking ridicule he usually reserves for liberals.

When the head honcho of a leading conservative website is openly mocking you, perhaps your 4 years and 15 minutes of fame is almost over? Anyway, that's my last word on the former governor. If right wing websites are making fun of her, there is nothing else for us leftists to say, except that once again Mark Twain was proven right when he said, "it is the radical who creates the ideas, then when those ideas are worn out, the conservative adopts them".

So to all of you die hard Palin fans out there, it is no longer just us leftists for whom Palin is more annoying than anything else. Take a look and see what at least one fellow conservative has to say about Palin. Also note how he refers to her supporters as a "cult".

We leftists should now just shut up about Palin. Conservatives have adopted yet another one of our ideas. I know I am breaking my own rule about citing opinion blogs as sources. But when my point is that a specific opinion is no longer exclusive to the left, it somehow seems appropriate.

BREAKING NEWS: PALIN SUPPORTERS CLAIM SHE NEVER SAID IT OR MEANT IT OR SOMETHING

There is movement within the cult. They are mad as hell at us for pointing out Governor Palin set this as her own drop dead date.

It is because Christie and the Huck have no real stroke, so who really cares what those two say or do.

When Palin speaks, most everyone listens.

Dude. I don’t know what you are talking about, but I just seen this awesome reference to Sarah Palin in the Japanese cartoon. It is awesome because of its accuracy. Check this out:http://movies.netflix.com/WiPlayer?movieid=70207362&trkid=2429434#MovieId=70207362&EpisodeMovieId=70189238 Now I doubt that it is on u-tube ,but if it is then check it out there (I do not support Netflix Per Se.) My point is that that is where I found the awesome cartoon. Block Buster or any other outfit may offer access to the cartoon. What is important is that the cartoon is relevant to all things Palin, especially this thread.

One more thing. If Sarah Palin does go out with a fart, at least she will go out as the fart heard around the world.

RED STATE update:

PALIN 52.6%

CAIN 20.6%

PAUL 10.4%

PERRY 7.3%

ROMNEY 2.4%

GINGRICH 2.0%

BACHMANN 1.2

The reason Eric is so jerky is because he was in the tank for Perry and apparently most of his readers are in the Palin camp. I use to read that site but bias was too much to deal with.

It is about being an elite blog site and they made their bed with Perry and lying in that bed is proving uncomfortable now.

So you distract and attack really just like Obama does just to save face. Red State and Obama have a lot in common they are full of themselves and overestimate their importance.

When Sarah announces she will take up a lot of the oxygen in the field but I doubt we will see any apologies from Red State for their behavior.

I say when you pick the wrong horse there is always another race try again.

I will not hold it against them or anyone else that hops aboard.

I fully recognize everyone loves a winner so Red State climb aboard whenever Sarah gives you to opportunity which will be in the next two weeks. We will forgive you even Obama has trouble picking winners and losers, but we as conservatives will be more forgiving of bloggers on our side.

BUZZ*Game Over* In the first paragraph, too! Quite simply, the 'vitriol' (although that more aptly describes what comes from the left, than the right) directed toward Pelosi and Boxer is truthful, it's earned and is based on their performance on the job. The vile spew printed about Palin is of a personal nature, not grounded in reality and is designed to be vicious, hurtful and demeaning.

Amen!! None of that vile should come from those of us that are conservatives.

I do understand that Sarah is pure lightning in a bottle ready to be released.

I also understand that she will be uncontrollable and political/media elites hate that, but cannot take their eyes of her. Sarah’s “Game On” speech blasted the GOP and also had a healthy dose for Obama and the Democrats.

There just is not anyone like her.and none any better as a retail politician that connect with the folks.

Question is can we or should we keep lightning in a bottle or release it?

So anyone who isn’t on the Palin train is a liberal?

Really?

Everything you said is true. There is also the fact that the second she declares, all guns will swing in her direction effectively ending the vetting process on all of the other candidates. Lots of damaging stuff is emerging on opponets, why interrupt the process now?

“Of course it was never made to clear how our criticism of Palin is any different from the vitriol directed towards Nancy Pelosi or Barbara Boxer in these same forums, but that is another topic.”

Man, if you can’t see the difference YOU ARE BLIND!

B. Boxer and N. Pelosi are America-destroyers and work for the New World Order and, ultimately, the Kremlin. Sarah Palin is a champion of the truth and the common man and seeks to rebuild and restore the greatest country in the world’s history - The Last Best Hope Of Earth.

Some difference, eh?

Good question. She’s what we need but we need her to be effective; perhaps she can be more effective away from the Oval office.

Sarah runs; I vote for her. If she doesn’t; I vote for someone else. It’s not very complicated.

Please name such a person that could have won the WH but was more effective outside of it? I doubt in history you would find such a person.

...the second she declares, all guns will swing in her direction effectively ending the vetting process on all of the other candidates.

Good point, except that it won't be just the guns swinging in her direction. It will also be the lion's share of the eyeballs, column inches, campaign donations, supporters, etc.

She's going to suck the air away from the rest of the candidates, effectively ending many of their bids for the nomination.

If some Freepers don’t act like libs and use their talking points verbatim, then there’d no reason to believe they are libs now would there?

And you know perfectly well what I’m referring to. Legitimate criticism of Palin or anyone else is one thing. No one says she should be free from scrutiny. Or are you supporting the WTC911 and jla types with their dogpile attacks on christian posters, “Trademark” comment garbage and slams and flat out lies about her family? That’s pretty “Conservative” huh? Or perhaps you’d care to get into all the illegal alien supporters populating the Perry threads since he ate feet in the debates, making excuses for why conservatives need to ‘moderate’ their position or lose the ‘hispanic’ (read that-illegal alien) vote.

Nah Gunner...ain’t no liberals posting on FR with good solid Conservative ideas like those. No-sir-eee Bob.

You stick with Bloggers, I’ll stick with PDSers and the world will be a better place. Deal? ;)

In truth, she really had to make her decision well over a year ago, and she did. Here's the proof: If she'd decided to stay out of the race, she would have told her supporters, so that they could focus their time, attention, and energies on another candidate of their choice.

My God, do you ever listen to yourself and realize the corner you've boxed yourself into? By your logic, if Palin does not run she will have lied to all of her supporters for month after month after month. You, the fanatics at C4P and all of her other die hard followers would have reason to absolutely detest her if she doesn't run. Perhaps she is aware of how big of a let down this will be? Perhaps she realizes she allowed this tease to go on too long and while she had decided against running, just can't face the hostile reaction she will unleash from her rabid supporters.

When Palin finally announces what most people already realize, that she isn't running - there is going to be a meltdown of epic proportions among her fan base. It is going to be very ugly and very sad to watch - and it will be entirely of her making for having dragged this out for so long and misleading people like yourself.
