He only got to where he is because of Daddy's money.
Agree with that.
That stated, the businesses he ran were highly successful. Daddy’s money doesn’t help with simple business mathematics.
Look at it this way...it’s not a vote for Romney, but a vote against Obama.
Romney on a scale of 1-1 (10 being conservative, 1 being Lenin) is about a 4 or a 5....Obama is a 0....
Vote for Romney, work to get conservatives in the house and senate. It’s the best case scenario this year.
And he grew that money because of his business sense. Why is that a bad thing? My father helped me get into college, should I be ashamed of that?
Well, it certainly didn't hurt. But, I think he's shown himself to be at least competent, unlike the current president. Many men have done much less with much more.
That's not the same as being conservative, though.
I don't have an answer. If there were a conservative third party candidate with enough money and credibility to seriously challenge, I'd certainly go for that, but we don't seem to have anyone like that out there.
So, I will probably go ahead and vote against Obama, once again suckered in by the GOP. I don't see any other choice.
And daddy's political connections. But, hey, maybe a wealthy political insider is just the kind of man we need to bring change to Washington and return power from the elites to the people. /sarc
“He only got to where he is because of Daddy’s money.”
I thought his father’s estate was given entirely to charity, and Romney made his money himself. Even if he did inherit money...so what? Are you saying we should have a death/estate tax of 100%?
And Osama Obama only got where *he* is thanks to Soros's money.
Maybe not his money since he made his money, but his influence and networks sure helped. Cranbrook isn't cheap.
Actually I think he donated all Daddy’s money away.
